Trekking and hiking
The area around Pico is rich in beautiful landscapes, and our Franco, experienced hiker and a great connoisseur of the Natural Park of Aurunci Mountains and the National Park of Abruzzo, will suggest itineraries of a charming beauty.
This area overlooks the azure of the Tyrrhenian Sea; in this land, the limestone shaped by water emerge out of the broom and among the many fragrant plants of the Mediterranean vegetation, which excite many botanists. There have been counted more than 1900 species of plants, including 50 orchids.
A park that only 7 km away from the sea has high mountains over 1.400 meters, crossed by the pilgrim flights and the harrier, and where live badgers and newts. Here, from different points, the view reaches to the Pontine Islands, Ischia, the mountains of Abruzzo, the Circeo promontory.
Throughout the Natural Park of Monti Aurunci, extends a network of cattle tracks that connect the various areas of the Park
The network of trails spread over 100 km; all paths have the typical signs.
