Albergo diffuso

Welcome to Nenà al Borgo Castello, Albergo Diffuso, located in Ciociaria, in the roman countryside. We are in the historic center of the medieval village of Pico, which joined the prestigious club "The Most Beautiful Villages of Italy".

Being the guests of our Albergo Diffuso means having the privilege of truly immersing yourself in the life of the village, to savor its daily life, not just a tourist passing through, but as "one of us".

What is an Albergo Diffuso?

  • Albergo Diffuso is a new form of hospitality that aims at re-evaluating territories and enhancing local specialties. The philosophy of our Albergo Diffuso (literally Village-Hotel), is to offer our guests rooms and/or apartments in several buildings, within the village.
  • The rooms are thus located in several houses, very close together, and the services (reception, restaurant and breakfast room, kitchen) are centralized at the Antique Country House, Dimora Nenà.
  • Guests therefore have a wide range of accommodations available and to choose from depending on the level of comfort of the various units, the different architectural features and decor of the rooms, and having different prices.
Via Landolfi Residence
Dimora Nenà

The antique furnishings and decorations bring back the time honored sensation of a warm welcome and hospitality. The rooms, furnished with care and with antiques, overlooking the picturesque alleys of the Village and enjoy a panoramic view over the green hills of Natural Park of Aurunci Mountains.

Residenza Via Landolfi

This house, built between 1300 and 1400, is located in front of the "Dimora Nenà", in the street dedicated to the great writer Tommaso Landolfi, whose birthplace is located a few meters away. For this reason, the names of the rooms evoke some of the most famous novels written by Landolfi.

Extra-virgin olive oil

From here we produce an extra-virgin olive oil of exceptional quality every year. This is the oil that we use for cooking, that our guests can purchase at the hotel, produced by means of cold pressing.

What is the extra-virgin olive oil and what makes it valuable?

"Extra Virgin Olive Oil" is obtained from the first cold pressing of olives, without chemicals. Only Italian olives, fresh, top quality, picked and pressed. The oil must have an acidity level of less than 1%.

Homemade jams

From the fruit trees grown on our land we also derive the fruits with which we produce homemade jams (figs, mulberries, plums, lemons, tangerines, oranges, quince, prickly figs).

Homemade liqueurs

But that is not all. It is on this land that we pick the lemons to produce an excellent Limoncello, the wild myrtle berries to produce Mirto, the black cherry leaves with which we produce an exquisite Elisir, the bay leaves to produce a fragrant Laurino, walnuts to produce the bitter natural par excellence, Nocino. After dinner, our guests really like tasting our homemade liqueurs , according to old jealously guarded recipes handed down from our grandmothers.
